Gosford City Aeromodellers Club is one of the very few clubs in Australia to have not only an airfield, an indoor location but also a freshwater float plane site in the Mt Penang complex at Kariong.

The official float plane event is usually two days a month though the site is available every weekend for those who want to use it. It is limited to electric float planes.
